The felt

About the felt

The science and art of felting goes back thousands of years. Its homeland is Inner Asia, whose people still make and use it in the same way as they did then.

Although the details of the felting technique have changed, the basic principle has remained the same.

This material is nothing but 100% wool shearing, cleaning, carding, working together by hand after dyeing, kneading with the help of a separate textile juice and water. It is interesting that works of any spatial shape can be made without a single cut or stitch. It also accommodates other textiles, thus giving special surfaces, textures, and styles.

It is a very versatile, almost unbreakable, strong material, but it can also be soft, soft and easy to fall. Home textiles can be made from it just like jewellery, clothes, costumes or tents.

It does not get soaked for a very long time, it has a water-repellent effect. It can be washed, ironed, shaped, cut, sewn, does not shed. Since it keeps the body temperature inside, it is said that it warms in winter and cools in summer.

My felt clothes are made of Australian merino wool, combined with caterpillar silk, viscose, cotton canvas, lace, organza.

Hand-washable in 30-degree water with detergent.

It can be unscrewed strongly by hand, the use of a centrifuge is not recommended. Can be ironed and steamed when wet. The collar, sleeves, and shape of hats can be shaped while wet. The piece dried in this way retains its shape
